Planing turns rough sawmill-cut lumber into ready-to-use material: with all four sides flat, at a constant cross-section, and with a smooth surface. On the Weinig machine, the process happens in a single pass, with a precision and repeatability hard to achieve manually, for any quantity — from a few beams to large batches.
